Hello! I am Major Alan Joyce, Commanding Officer…

The 25th Iowa is a Civil War reenactment and living history unit based in Plano, Texas. The unit prides itself on its passion for the hobby, dedication to authenticity, and sense of camaraderie. We are one of the few Union units in this part of the country, so we often find ourselves going to many events throughout the year. As you navigate the unit’s online site, you can click a bullet item in the menu to go to that place. Here at Headquarters, you can find our Schedule of events, and info on how to join. Company A is the site for any new or experienced reenactors. Company F is the Boy Scouts of America Venture Crew, a co-ed group of teens 14-21 that enjoy reenacting. At Quartermaster, you can find helpful lists for building your reenacting gear and links to sutlers. In Safety Regulations, learn about the firearms we use and our safety rules. Our civilians page will show you how to get involved as a civilian reenactor.

You may contact us by sending an email to the company clerk. The email address has been altered to prevent Confederate spies from accessing our communications. Please remove the 'zz' before sending.
